Dr Bhattathiri* is a qualified Ayurvedic Doctor*, hailing from the unique Ayurvedic tradition of Kerala, India.

He was born and initiated into the Vedic tradition of India at an early age, which gave him the appropriate knowledge of the Sanskrit language and Vedic texts. Both essential to an in-depth understanding and practice of Ayurveda.

After completing his Bachelor Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree at the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (Bangalore, India), he worked at various health and wellbeing Institutions. Including 9 years at the renowned Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala Hospitals and Research Centres across India.

Over the past 18 years he has helped thousands of patients address their health conditions, often left hopeless by conventional western medicine, and improve their health, well-being and quality of life.

Dr Bhattathiri* founded Ayurvera to take his passion for authentic Ayurveda to the next level.

He is committed to making a significant contribution to addressing and preventing the health and wellbeing challenges of our western life-style. The mission of Ayurvera is to achieve this through a natural and integrative alternative medicine approach.

To this end, Dr Bhattathiri* applies his in-depth knowledge and clinical experience of Ayurveda, focussing on clinical practice, promotion of wellbeing, education and research.

Dr Bhattathiri* is a fully insured Practitioner and Ayurvera Academy courses are accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA).

*Ayurvedic medicine is an established system of medicine in India and other countries where the term "Doctor of Ayurvedic medicine" is a recognised professional qualification holding a Bachelor degree in Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS). This should not be confused with the allopathic "Medical Doctor" qualification as recognised by the General Medical Council in UK. Advice provided by a Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine remains within the scope of traditional Ayurvedic medicine and is not intended to replace that of an allopathic medical doctor (e.g. your GP or other NHS/private UK medical specialist).
